ÞAU is an Icelandic alt-rock duo pushing boundaries with sound and story. Rakel Björk and Gaddi weave raw guitars with touches of jazz, blues, and pop

— a blend that feels both grounded and unpredictable. Known for their dynamic, emotionally charged performances, ÞAU builds rich soundscapes using loopers, effects, and a range of instruments and vocals, adding depth, playfulness, and dimension to their live sound.

Storytelling is at the core of ÞAU's work — not just in the lyrics, but in the way the band shapes it´s performances. Each show becomes an unfolding narrative, where songs connect across time and place. ÞAU's lyrics are drawn from Icelandic poetry

— some passed down through centuries, others fresh off the page.

The band's debut album, ÞAU taka Vestfirði, dives into the poetic roots of Iceland’s Westfjords, turning local verse into gritty, atmospheric alt-rock.

The follow-up, ÞAU taka Norðurland, shifts focus north — spotlighting regional voices, with a strong emphasis on women poets too often overlooked. Third album is currently being cooked!

ÞAU has been touring Iceland each summer since 2021,

bringing the band's music to new places

— while playing shows year-round in Reykjavík.

Raddbandið is a vocal and performance trio made up of three radiant, well-rested mothers — always polished, always energized.

The group features singers and actresses Auður Finnbogadóttir, Rakel Björk Björnsdóttir, and Viktoría Sigurðardóttir, who bring powerhouse vocals and theatrical flair to the stage. Known for their distinctive blend of musical theatre and jazz, Raddbandið delivers original, witty, and playful lyrics through lush close-harmony arrangements.

Raddbandið's latest project, Who Wants to Be a Princess?, co-created with Sara Martí, is a brand-new musical inspired by the beloved world of Disney fairy tales.

The show sparkles with vibrant, magical music by Stefán Örn Gunnlaugsson and Rakel Björk Björnsdóttir, paired with lyrics by Rakel and Viktoría.
